Leeds United support White Ribbon

Leeds United supported White Ribbon UK during their game at Elland Road with Middlesbrough on Saturday 30th November, as part of a partnership with Safer Leeds to mark White Ribbon Day and the 16 Days of Action.

As part of their awareness-raising activities, the team wore White Ribbon UK t-shirts during the warm-up to the match, and information about White Ribbon was available in the Match-Day Programme, and on the sideline billboards and big screen.

In working with Leeds City Council and Safer Leeds, the team have made the decision to support the campaign in this way. Popular sports teams who align themselves with our important message that men have a responsibility to take action against violence towards women, is an essential part of being sporting role-models. It influences how the next generation behave, and we need other teams to do the same.
